The sole purpose of CredNet is to create a solution that will streamline the medical credentialing process. Following years of challenges, legislation, start-ups, failed innovations and multiple attempts by managed care and coalitions, credentialing is nowhere less burdensome than it was 10 years ago—until now.
The solution is CredNet. Our unique model allows providers to join a network with credentialing as the sole objective.
CredNet contracts with the credentialing bodies contracts (health plans, hospitals, surgery centers, etc.) to enter into delegated credentialing agreements. Under a delegation agreement, the organizations agree to allow CredNet to credential all of its members so long as it is accredited or continues to utilize a certified CVO.
CredNet’s strategy is to implement a network that gives healthcare providers the opportunity to be credentialed in one place by one organization in such a way that all payors and non-payor PPOs accept and contract to delegate the work to CredNet.
To do this, the company will create a network unlike any other. This super-network won't be limited to any one hospital or health plan, nor by geography. It will contract to verify the physician's credentialing file from Med Advantage, then conduct its own peer review and assess a rating (pooling) on the healthcare provider. Once accepted into the CredNet network, usage is opened to all health insurance companies, health plans and hospitals at no cost. The physician's fee agreement with the health plan, if any, will be separate from CredNet, while the provider still reaps the benefits of delegated credentialing.
